The Anatomy of a Commission, Part 1 of 3
The first step is to meet with the clients and view the space where the commission is to be
installed. Then the artist develops ideas with clients while living in the space,
returning to the studio with photographs of the environment and artifacts. In the case of
this illustration: photos are taken from windows across from the conference room where the commission will hang.
As this commission is for a business, the client's brochure and business card are included in the mix. |
